First Energy Summit in BiH to be held in Neum

neum3The US Agency for International Development (USAID) project of Investing in energy sector (EIA) is organizing their first Energy Summit in B&H which will be held, under the auspices of The State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Regulatory Commission for Energy of Republic of Srpska and the Regulatory Commission of Energy in FB&H, on 15th and 16th of April, in Neum.

Through panel of discussions, presentations and workshops, participants will talk about investments in electric power sector, the functioning of the retail electricity market and integration into the regional market.

At the summit, technical sessions on reducing emissions from power plants in B&H will be held, as well as sessions about the production of electricity from biomass, new roles of distribution systems operators, and the iteration of renewable energy sources in the market.

The event will be opened by the Ambassador of the United States in B&H, Maureen Cormack, and representatives of government and regulatory commissions for energy in B&H.
