They were purchased for transport purposes of this exploitation site and were funded by the public enterprise “Elektroprivreda BiH”.

Dumper trucks were handed over to the management of the coal pit “Vrtlište” by FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, and Elvedin Grabovica, managing director of EP BIH.

“Purchase of these dumper trucks shows once again that EP BIH in the past three years has fulfilled all that was asked of it by the FBiH Government and it was to invest in the mines as many resources as possible. I congratulate them for that because for the past three years more has been invested in the mines than in the past thirty years,” said on this occasion Prime Minister Nikšić.

With the new mining equipment, the coal mine “Kakanj” will increase the total working capacity, and the degree of reliability of technological process on the discovery of coal, and it will be able to execute synchronization of the relation between findings and extracted coal, which will significantly increase the total production and financial results of this enterprise.

According to earlier plans, the public enterprise “Elektroprivreda BiH” intends to invest close to 67 million BAM in the process of recapitalization of the RMU “Kakanj”, and the value of the investments so far amounts to about 42 million BAM.
