Following criminal processing by the Federal Police Administration (FUP), five people arrested in the operation codenamed “Ata” have so far been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office.

The five suspects will be held for 24 hours and within that legal period the acting prosecutor will decide on the motion for detention, the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office announced.

As a reminder, yesterday the FUP arrested ten people in the Sarajevo Canton on the order of the acting prosecutor.

The arrested people are suspected of the criminal offense of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, namely the illegal production and distribution of narcotic drugs, incitement to prostitution and illegal possession of weapons or explosives.

Operation “Ata” was carried out on the order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office and the orders of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo.

Searches were carried out at 13 locations in the Sarajevo Canton.
