The former Croatian President discovered a Secret Deal between Milosevic and Tudjman

Although Sabor abolished the Office of the former president, Stipe Mesic, who is now 83 years old, is still far away from walking around with his peers and feeding pigeons. He is still traveling all over the world on the invitation of various institutions and governments.

When asked in how many proceedings in The Hague he has witnessed, Mesic stated that he witnessed in the proceedings against former mayor of Vukovar Slavko Dokmanovic, in the case of Slobodan Milosevic, and in the trial of General Tihomir Blaskic.

On the accusation that his testimony in the case Blaskic, as well as the documents sent from the Office of the President to the Hague, led to conviction verdicts to Croats in BiH, he said that all of them are nothing more than constructions.

Mesic said that the first physical encounter between Tudjman and Milosevic took place without him.

“That meeting took place without me, and Milosevic came without Borislav Jovic. I always travelled from Belgrade to Zagreb on Fridays and Saturdays, and we were waiting for him to return from Karadjordjevo. Before this meeting I told him that I am bothered with the fact that this meeting is being held in Karadjordjevo, but he said – It does not matter where we will meet, the most important thing for me is to hear what he wants. At that meeting in Karadjordjevo went Tudjman and the head of his cabinet Hrvoje Sarinic. When the two of them returned from Karadjordjevo, we met with people from the then state top of Croatia.

Tudjman entered the room and said: “Clear the tables, Hrvoje, bring the maps.” And then Tudjman explained Milosevic’s proposal. He said that he proposed the banovina borders plus Cazin, Kladusa and Bihac for Croatia. He quoted what Slobodan Milosevic told him exactly. He said: “Franja, you take Cazin, Kladusa and Bihac, I do not need them, it is the so-called ‘Turkish Croatia”. I asked Tudjman – But what does Alija say? He replied:”What would Alija say, when the Croatian and Serbian scissors agree, there is nothing left for Alija to ask.” I told him: ”Listen, that means war.” He said: “No, it is not a war, that is the avoidance of war.”

After that Tudjman went to another meeting with Milosevic…

Mesic also stated that he knew  that the two of them are planning the division of BiH already after the first meeting Tudjman – Milosevic.

“That was the proposal of Slobodan Milosevic. He never told us whether he had accepted it, but that it is Slobodan Milosevic’s proposal. However, it was obvious that he was beyond excited with this proposal. Tudjman went to another hunting lodge, Tikves, at the second meeting with Milosevic, but I was not invited at that meeting, so I do not know what was agreed in the end. However, he was delighted with the proposal of Slobodan Milosevic at the first meeting for sure.”
