Michael Brockers came from Germany to BiH and he is well aware of the fact that life here is not easy, but it has some advantages.

This primarily refers to the people and their kindness, which is hard to find in Europe these days.

Michael Brockers came to BiH for the first time in the year of 2009 as a German soldier within the EUFOR, as reported by DW.

He instantly fell in love with BiH, its natural beauties and kind people. Thus, after retiring, he decided to leave Germany and move to our country.

“My first impression is that people are friendly, open and easy to make a contact with, and you can talk about everything over a cup of coffee”, stated Brockers.

He travelled all over Europe, he also lived in the United States, but, according to him, BiH is the best.

He also decided to give his maximum and he started volunteering at the Day Center for Children with Special Needs in Visoko.

Volunteering in this center is making him emotionally fulfilled and he is happy to be able to help others.

Director of the Day Center, Meldina Ugarak, said that Michael is doing his job with a lot of love and he gives even more than it is expected from him.

In his free time, Michael wants to get to know BiH a bit better.

“I enjoy exploring BiH. I go to the sea or the mountain by car or my bike,” he stated.

“I love my city of Sarajevo,” concluded the former soldier from Germany, Michael Brockers.
