Former Retirement Home to be sold for 13.5 Million BAM?

Retirement Home sa-c.netDevastated facility of the Retirement Home in Nedžarići, which has been the city’s mockery for 20 years already, should be sold soon.

According to the Director of Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance Zijad Krnjić, several months ago a construction expert estimated the facility to the value of 13.5 million BAM.

“That will be the starting price, which does not mean we will not sell it for a lot more money. FB&H Government gave consent for the sale and we expect the sale to be approved with a decision this month. It is unfortunate that the Home has been in such condition for 20 years. Thereby, we hope that some investor will build a new facility which will be the pride of the city,” Krnjić said.

The sale is also constrained by administrative issues, since certain parcels are not registered under the Institute but under the Ilidža Municipality. Krnjić highlighted that the Home was built prior to the aggression and that it is clear that those parcels belong to them.

“I hope this will be resolved. Regarding the money from the sale, we intend to direct it towards consolidation of the Institute”, Krnjić added.
