Free Sterilization of 781 Dogs in Sarajevo

dogs_trustDog Trust B&H announced today that 781 dogs ate sterilized in Canton Sarajevo and East Sarajevo during November within free sterilization of dogs action.

This is the second massive action of free dog sterilization for 2013, organized and financed by Dogs Trust B&H. The activity covers 9 registered veterinary stations in Canton Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, announced Dogs Trust.

“We are very glad that we have managed to reach such a large number of the sterilization of dogs, thereby preventing new street dogs, and that we have helped many responsible owners take care of their pats in this situation of a difficult financial crises”, said the manager of the project Dogs Trust in B&H Anel Bećirović.

Bećirović recalled that Dogs Trust through its actions of free sterilization and training of veterinary staff have managed to sterilize 4.294 dogs during 2013, adding that 40.000 unwanted dogs are prevented from being born and that most probably they would end up on the streets.
