Andjelija Ilic (15) posted a video on TikTok that has captivated the region. In the video, which has been viewed over 2.4 million times, Andjelija showcases her transformation for her primary school graduation celebration, marking the end of her elementary education.
At the beginning of the video, Andjelija stands in a barn dressed in work clothes, and in the next frame, she is wearing make-up, with her hair done, and in a white dress.
“Fantastic,” “You’re beautiful, girl,” “Respect,” “You’re lovely in both outfits,” and “You don’t even need to wear makeup,” are some of the comments under the viral video.
Andjelija talked about her responsibilities at home in an interview. She is an excellent student who manages to help her parents alongside her school duties. Before and after school, she takes care of the cows on the farm. To finish all her tasks, she wakes up around five in the morning.
“I’ve been used to this since I was little. My day looks like this: I get up around five or six, we dig up silage, which is a mixture of corn that we keep in silos. It stays like that for 30 days, and then we give it to the cows. My parents say I’m their right hand; I’m not alone, of course.
I learned to milk cows four years ago. It was a bit frustrating at first; I didn’t succeed immediately, but later I managed. There’s a special love for the cows. Each one has its name, and I gave them modern names. We will have bulls soon,” she said.
About the viral video, she said: “Few people live this kind of life, and few younger generations support it. Everyone thinks that you go into the barn just for photos, videos, and views and then simply leave. It’s not like that,” she said.
She has enrolled in Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine high school, aiming to return to the farm to help her parents with the animals, N1 writes.
