Members of the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) destroyed all four air bombs they had found in the past seven days and then successfully deactivated them at a construction site near the Radio Television in the centre of Sarajevo. The bombs were destroyed at the Lapov dol near Konjic minefield for the destruction of explosives and unexploded ordnance.

The transport operation from Sarajevo began on Friday morning at about 4:00 am, and several hours later, with the support of the Cantonal Ministry of the Interior and the Professional Fire Brigade of the Canton of Sarajevo, the FUCZ destroyed bombs outside populated areas at the site, without any consequences.

Previously, FUCZ asked all citizens who live or happen to be in the area during this operation to comply with the instructions of authorized police officers and members of the civil protection so as not to jeopardize their own safety and security of the entire operation.

The bombs found in the centre of Sarajevo during construction and they were thrown in 1944 during the Secomd World War, and these were GP 100 MK4 aircraft bombs of English production with devastating power of 1,000 libri. The total mass of these bombs was two tons with 640 kilograms of explosives, Klix.ba news portal reports.
