Funds of 8.49 Million BAM allocated for the Development of small Businesses in Canton Sarajevo

Businessmen from the area of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo were presented with the Small Business Development Program for 2021, which envisages the allocation of 8.49 million BAM of incentive funds allocated by the Ministry of Economy of Canton Sarajevo (CS).

Hasan Tanovic, the Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, emphasized that this is the first time that such a gathering with businessmen has been organized in the area of this local community and that there is great interest in programs for the development and support of the economy.

“Within the support of the economy, 11 programs are envisaged and the implementation of these measures is aimed at stabilizing the situation of the economy, development of small businesses, and new employment,” told the Minister of Economy of CS,Adnan Delic.

Entrepreneurs were presented in detail with the programs so they could apply for public calls and exercise the right to incentives. The planned individual programs for 2021 are: lending to small businesses under more favorable conditions, subsidizing/refund of interest on loans taken from commercial banks, incentives for technological modernization, application of quality standards and business digitalization, incentives for new investments in technological modernization, as well asapplication of standards quality in order to improve competitiveness and/or new employment.

”Also, incentives for projects to promote crafts, incentives for training young people for craft jobs and employment, incentives for improving IT entrepreneurship, incentives for improving entrepreneurship in the field of providing administrative services with predominantly export orientation, incentives for newly established, start-up small businesses, an incentive for the development of women’s entrepreneurship, and an incentive for the development of youth entrepreneurship,” it was announced from the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.
