Galic: Do not fall for Misinformation about the call to arms

“Do not fall for misinformation about the call to arms. I emphasize that this kind of narrative should not be present in public,” said Deputy Minister of Defense of BiH Slaven Galić.

According to him, the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina respect the Law on Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which precisely defines who is responsible for the command and control of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in which case a state of emergency can be declared.

“A state of emergency is declared when there is any threat of an attack on Bosnia and Herzegovina or any part of Bosnia and Herzegovina or an imminent danger of war. None of the above is current, from which it can be concluded that there is no room for declaring a state of emergency,” assessed Galić.

He said that EUFOR and NATO are guarantors of security in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“They are in charge of preserving a safe and stable environment, that is, supporting security institutions in BiH, including the Armed Forces of BiH,” said the Deputy Minister of Defense of BiH.

Namely, in recent days, a pamphlet has been circulating on social networks in which it is stated that the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is at risk. The alleged signatories of that pamphlet are the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, and the former Minister of Security, Fahrudin Radončić, in which it is stated that the security situation in BiH is threatened.

The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina also sent a reaction stating that the documents calling for war are forgeries, and called on citizens to be careful when informing, instructing them to follow all news concerning the Parliament on their official website.
