Gathering in East New Sarajevo: We must not let our Republic down

From the national rally “Defend Srpska”, which was held in front of several thousand people in East New Sarajevo, it was said that the Republic and all those who gave their lives for the freedom of Srpska should not be let down.

Serbian Sarajevo is a hero city, said Serbian member of the Presidency Željka Cvijanović.

“Serbian Sarajevo is a heroic city, which always knew how to recognize dangers and when it was necessary to put itself in the position of protecting Srpska. Serbian Sarajevo is the city that shows that we will never tire of our love for Republika Srpska and that we will never get tired of defending its interests “We will not allow you to humiliate our institutions, you have lived a lot over them. You have shown how and what you think, and we have said the same several times, and now we are determined that we will no longer suffer injustice,” Cvijanović said, reports RTRS.

The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Radovan Višković added that it was an honor to be at such a gathering and in this place.

“Those who attack Serbia and its institutions are afraid of this picture, of you and the people of Srpska. From here, a message is being sent with a picture. Enough evil has been done to us. We must not fail those who gave their lives for Serbia, we must not fail our Republic. No one has the right , whether he was in power or in the opposition, not to account to them, who gave their lives so that we could enjoy freedom today,” Višković said.

The mayor of East New Sarajevo, Ljubiša Ćosić, pointed out that we still live in an unfinished state.

“We live in an unfinished state. Today, when in FBiH bad things are said about Srpska, everyone is united, everyone is in favor of diminishing the competence of Republika Srpska, its municipalities and cities, everything that represents what their lives were given for. Today when Srpska says that we do not give institutions, people who perform functions in certain institutions, they say we want conflict and scare us with some weapons. Is raising tensions the protection of Srpska institutions? We are a people of peace, there is no conflict here,” added Ćosić.

He emphasized that the Republika Srpska is in the foundations of East Sarajevo.

From the gatherings that have been held so far in Bijeljina, Trebinje, Zvornik, Doboj, Prijedor, Gradiška and Derventa, it was announced that the citizens are determined to preserve the Republika Srpska, its institutions and property, Nezavisne reports.
