Bosna International Forum (BIF) is a project started by young entrepreneurs who aim to strengthen BiH economy, promote investment projects in BiH, investments in transparent projects in BiH, thus creating new workplaces and offer savings and profit to investors.

“We recognized this project and the Forum as a very good idea and on behalf of the Government of USC, we are at your disposal in the organization and support. Diaspora and our people out there are very important for us, especially their experience, knowledge and skills they gained through many years of work and residence in Western Europe,” said Minister of Finance of Una-Sana Canton, Zikrija Durakovic.

Chairman of the Assembly of USC Nijaz Husic said that the opening of every workplace in BiH is the priority and it deserves the attention and support of the government representatives.

Mayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo Semir Efendic addressed the attendees, and reminded that the representatives of the municipality were at the gathering and that they are part of the initiative of last year’s Forum.

“I think that one of the greatest resources that BiH has in comparison with other countries is its Diaspora. Some estimations are mentioning about millions of people who live outside the country. The reason for the departure of many citizens of BiH was a war and unnatural conditions, and a certain period of time was necessary to pass in order to adapt and people start to live normally, learn the language and, among others, start to deal with the business. I think it’s been enough time, and it is time for our people to return to BiH in another way, whether with their return or by opening a business. I think that this initiative of connecting our businessmen and potential with the Diaspora is a very good thing,” said Efendic.

On this forum were presented projects from BiH that are open for investment to foreign investors, and all attendees are invited to present their ideas for projects.

The first gathering of the Forum was held in November 2015 in Linz, which gathered more than 100 participants from six countries: BiH, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia and Turkey.
