German Ambassador to BiH Thomas Fitschen said today that he was relieved that more than six months after the elections, the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina finally completed the appointment process and elected the Government.

“I welcome the fact that it was possible to conclude the nomination procedure in the FBiH House of Representatives and to elect a new Government,” he said.

“I hope that Prime Minister Nikšić and his new team will now be able to take important and long overdue decisions which are important for all citizens, and I wish him best of success for that. It is essential for the future not just of the Federation, but for all of Bosnia and Hercegovina and its people, that the reform measures on the path into the European Union are now taken decisively and without delay,” concluded the German Ambassador.
