Director of the Border Police (BP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirko Kuprešaković, held a meeting with the head of the Department for the Rule of Law of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alfredo Stripolli, on Wednesday in Sarajevo.

At the meeting, they discussed the security situation and the problem of illegal migration, and it was pointed out that this global and complex problem implies not only the engagement of every level of government within the state, but also global and multi-agency solutions, according to the press release of BP BiH.

Kuprešaković presented the significant activities of members of the BiH Border Police in the past period in the fight against cross-border crime.

During the meeting, the previous activities of the police officers of the BiH Border Police in the fight against migration were positively assessed, and despite the insufficient personnel and material resources, they are successfully confronting this problem. Also, the next steps of cooperation with EUROPOL were agreed.
