gata (1)Today, a meeting was held between representatives of both the city of Bihać and the government of the Una-Sana Canton (USK), and potential foreign investors from Germany. The investors have recently delivered a memorandum of cooperation, which detailed the construction of medical and recreational space for the Gata Health Resort near Bihać.

Besides Emdžad Galijašević, the mayor of Bihać, Vida Šantić, minister of the economy of USC, and Kajtazović Ibrahim, minister of health of USC, the meeting was also attended by Klaus Thielebeule and Irfan Balić, who were representatives on behalf of the German investors.

The possibility of establishing a public-private partnership between the government of the Una-Sana Canton, the city of Bihać, and the German investors was discussed. Topics were also raised relating to the use of geothermal water, which would flow through the various medical, recreational, and accommodation facilities in Gata.
