Germany supports High Representative Schmidt’s Decision

The German federal government supports yesterday’s decision by the High Representative.

It is aimed specifically at those who are politically responsible for the violation of the Dayton Agreement and the undermining of the constitutional order and functional integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country’s embassy in BiH announced.

“On April 3, Germany imposed an entry ban on three key individuals from Republika Srpska. The recent laws of the Republika Srpska entity, which are directed against the work of the judicial bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are unacceptable. Germany stands in solidarity with all those in the country, regardless of which entity they are in, who support the Constitution and state institutions and work constructively on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path to the European Union. We also agree on this in the EU.”

As a reminder, the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, yesterday issued a decision suspending all payments of budgetary funds for financing the political parties SNSD and United Serbian (US).

As he said, all budget funds for financing political parties for SNSD and US at all levels of government in BiH, at the state, entity, cantonal, city and municipal levels, and at the Brčko District government level, will be suspended and redirected to a special account at the Central Bank of BiH.
