childrenOn Saturday, June 13th, Giro Bambino, a cycling event for our youngest cyclists organized by the Giro di Sarajevo, will be held at Wilson’s Promenade. More than 100 young cyclists will participate,  and with the help of volunteers and members of Giro di Sarajevo traverse obstacles on a special training ground and learn and how to ride a bycicle properly and safely. At the end of the event, an opportunity to socialize as well as view the products of our sponsors, will be organized.

As part of the event, the luckiest participants will be awarded gifts. Ten youngsters will get a helmet, and the luckiest among them will win a children’s bike as well.

With this and similar events, Giro di Sarajevo is trying to draw attention to the increasing number of cyclists in our city and the growing problem of traffic, especially in relation to the lack of adequate bike trails, resulting in a large number of traffic accidents in which specifically the youngest cyclists often get hurt.
