The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today appointed Alen Taletović as the fourth missing judge of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This decision was confirmed with 33 votes in favor and no abstentions.
In this way, the composition of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was filled, and now it has nine judges.
In its opinion on Taletović, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated that he has relevant legal experience and that he contributed to legal science and judicial practice through his work.
– In the conversation, a high degree of knowledge of constitutional and legal matters was demonstrated, including the specifics in terms of jurisdiction and procedure before the constitutional courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina – reads Alen Taletović’s assessment.
He was born on April 11, 1980 in Tuzla. He is a Bosniak by nationality. He graduated from the Faculty of Law on June 28, 2004 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo and obtained a master’s degree. He passed the bar exam on September 26, 2019 at the Federal Ministry of Justice in Sarajevo.
From August 9, 2004 to February 10, 2006, he was a legal representative in Konjuh d.d. Livestock. After that, he performed the duties of advisor to the municipal mayor for legal affairs in the Municipality of Živinice.
From February 11, 2011, he became the Minister of Justice and Administration in the Government of Tuzla Canton and held that position until February 11, 2014.
He currently works as an assistant minister. He is head of the administration sector in the Federal Ministry of Justice and has held this position since September 22, 2014.
He is a member of the Alumni organization of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University from 2007 to the present. He had also been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1997. In June 2004, he resigned from all party positions.
