The Compensation Fund of the Republika Srpska (RS) approved 8.5 million BAM today for the purchase of 160,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine against the corona virus, said the Minister of Trade and Tourism of the Republika Srpska, Suzana Gasic.

She said that this amount of vaccines will be procured in the next period, and called on the citizens to be vaccinated in as many numbers as possible.

“We have a sufficient amount of vaccines, and in some cities, actions have already been carried out to vaccinate citizens without scheduling,” said Gasic.

She stated that talks are underway with the RS Chamber of Commerce to organize the vaccination of employees in certain economic entities.

Gasic says that at today’s session of the Compensation Fund, they talked about the Decree for the payment of taxes and contributions, and salaries for certain business entities whose work was endangered in March due to the coronary virus pandemic.

According to her, according to this decree, a total of 2.5 million BAM of compensation will be paid for about 7,654 workers.

“There are still unprocessed requests, where certain amendments are needed, and this information will be supplemented,” said Gasic.
