At the meeting held on Friday, the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton adopted the Decision on starting the procedure for hiring 105 new police officers – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.

Out of that, he added, the employment of 100 new officers in the rank of police officers and five in the rank of junior inspectors is planned.

“This is a continuation of the material and personnel strengthening of the capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ZDK. Therefore, in the coming period, competitive procedures will be carried out for the recruitment of 105 new police officers,” said Pivić, who added that investments in the security sector are continuing.

Several decisions were made within the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports for the reconstruction and construction of school facilities, for which approximately 365,000 BAM were allocated.

“The largest amount was allocated for the school in Lašva near Zenica (primary school-op.a.), about 180,000 BAM. I note that these are additional funds for the construction of the school playground. About the same amount was allocated previously. This is a modern school playground, which will serve students who attend that regional school,” said Pivić.

Within the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Refugees, 75,000 BAM has been allocated for the construction and reconstruction of the local road Mladoševica – Domisilca in Novi Šeher, in the amount of 50,000 BAM and individual requests for assistance of a social intervention character.

Within the Ministry of Economy, 22,500 BAM has been approved for the Regional Development Agency (REZ).

“This is a continuation of assistance to this agency, because they are working on very useful projects. Previously, we allocated funds that primarily serve the development of certain projects that serve young entrepreneurs and the development of IT/AI technologies, which are very important for the development of the economy of the Canton of ZDK,” said Pivić.

The Canton of ZDK government, after the competition procedure was conducted, also gave its consent to confirm the appointment of several school principals in that canton.
