Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) on Friday carried out the “Warrior” operation, during which they searched business and residential premises and movable property at three locations in Banja Luka and one location in Gradiška.

The aforementioned activities were carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the crimes “Abuse of the position of a responsible person” and “Money laundering” prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska were committed.

During the search, temporarily seized business documentation and other items that can be used as evidence in criminal proceedings were also discovered, SIPA announced.

The media reports that the premises of the president of the “Borac” Football Club Zvjezdan Misimović, who is allegedly accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands of convertible marks from that club, were searched.

The action was carried out by order of the Basic Court in Banja Luka and under the supervision of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Banja Luka, and was carried out in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska.
