Government of RS and China on establishing an Economic Business Zone

Delegations of the Government of the Republika Srpska (RS) and the Chinese city of Tianjin discussed the establishment of an economic business zone, within which would be established the cooperation between domestic companies and businessmen from China.

With an aim of realization of future cooperation, the mutual visit of Tianjin businessmen and RS in order to concretize future activities on joint projects was discussed on Sunday, as it was announced by the Government Bureau of Public Relations.

At the meeting, it was talked about the establishment of future cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, tourism, science, culture and sport.

The RS Government is committed to supporting any good initiative and to cooperate in partnership with all potential partners in a broader and wider environment, the announcement said.

The announcement states that the development of business zones is a field of potential cooperation with foreign partners in Banja Luka, as well as the promotion of international cooperation.

The opening of the Confucius Institute in Banja Luka, at the meeting was assessed as an important base and a place at which the future joint cooperation will be supported.

The delegation of the RS Government was led by Vice President – Anton Kasipovic, and the delegation of Tianjin by Deputy Mayor – Jo Haisan.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Stevo Mirjanic, Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, Zlatan Klokic and Mayor of Banja Luka, Igor Radojicic.
