The 52nd International Fair of agriculture and food industry “Plum Fair” will be held in Gradacac from August 27th to 30th this year. The organizer of this year’s fair is the Tourist Board of the City of Gradacac, and the partner is the City of Gradacac.

“This year, 150 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Germany will be present at the fair. We expect that, by the beginning of the event, several more companies from BiH and abroad will confirm their participation. The list of participants is not just a number, but proof that Gradacac is becoming a recognized center of regional cooperation in the agriculture and food industry sector. That is why we in Gradacac like to say that the fair is the main event of the year for us, and we always treat the international Plum Fair with special attention,” said Sakib Imsirovic, acting head of the Tourist Office of the Tourist Board of the City of Gradacac.

The mayor of Gradacac and president of the Organizing Committee of the 52nd Plum Fair, Hajrudin Mehanovic, emphasizes that this traditional economic-tourist event has long been recognized as a representative and important symbol of Gradacac. At the same time, the Plum Fair represents a significant economic and tourist platform both for Gradacac and its guests.

“I am glad that this year we are coming out of a period of stagnation and enriching the Plum Fair with new content and partners. This year, we agreed that four cities from BiH will be partner cities of this fair. These are Srebrenik, Gracanica, and Zivinice from the Tuzla Canton (TC), and Sanski Most from the Una-Sana Canton (USC). Our goal was to network cities that have fair and similar events through the Association of Municipalities and Cities, and to try to contribute to this and other events in BiH,” said Mayor Mehanovic, and emphasized that this year’s fair will aim to ensure a greater presence of exhibitors and partners from the Republic of Turkey.

The Plum Fair is the oldest specialized fair event in BiH, at which this year again there will be expert-scientific lectures and conferences with international participation, presentations of new scientific and technological achievements in the field of agriculture and food industry. Awards for product quality will also be presented.
