The 54th International Theater Festival MESS was closed today with an award ceremony and the Grand Prix, the “Golden Laurel Wreath for Best Play”, was awarded to the play “Koštana” performed by the cast of the National Theater in Subotica and directed by Andras Urban.
At the press conference which was held on that occasion at the National Theater in Sarajevo the “Golden Laurel Wreath for Best Director” was given to Luk Perceval for the play “Front”.
The award for best actors went to Suzana Vuković for her role in the play “Koštana”, Ermin Bravo for his role in the play “This grave is too small for me” and to David Espinosa for his role in “My Great Work (An Ambitious Project).”
The “Golden Laurel Wreath for Best Dramatic Text” was handed to Biljana Srbljanović for the play “This grave is too small for me” while the award “Jurislav Korenić” for best young director went to Francesco Pennini for directing “Age”.
Director of the International Theater Festival MESS Dino Mustafić thanked all participants for this significant cultural event and announced that they will socialize next year with a new concept.
This year’s MESS was held from October 3 to 12 in Sarajevo, Zenica, Goražde and Visoko and 25 plays from 18 countries performed around 30 times and more than 300 guests attended the plays.
