Grand Prix at the Festival of Actors goes to Admir Glamočak

Admir Glamocak Grand Prix Nikšić oslobodjenje.baAt the 12th International Festival of Actors in Nikšić which ended this weekend, according to the unanimous decision of the jury the Grand Prix for the best male role went to Admir Glamočak for the role of Igor, while the Grand Prix for the best walk-on female role went to Kaca Dorić for playing Nadija in the play “Brašno u venama” (Flour in Veins), which was jointly co-produced by the Sarajevo War Theater SARTR and the International Theater Festival MESS – MESS Scene.

With those two awards, the play directed by Boris Liješević upon the text by Igor Štiksa is the most successful play of this year’s International Festival of Actors in Nikšić.

At the 55th International Theater Festival MESS, “Brašno u venama” won several acknowledgements, among which it is interesting that Kaca Dorić already won the Golden Laurel Wreath for the best actress, while the author Igor Štiks was awarded the Golden Laurel Wreath for the best play text Balkan (Con)Text, and the play in general was rewarded by the magazine Dani with their award “Hrabri novi svijet” (Brave New World).

This play is continuing the performance at festivals at the 32nd Theater Meetings in Brčko which are to begin on November 19, the Festival MESS released.
