Invitation CardEmbassy of Japan in BiH and the Zenica City Museum organize photography exhibition and Japanese film screenings at Zenica City Museum.

Photography Exhibition ‘’Kumamoto Art Polis: Architecture Through Communication’’ opens on May 13 at 19:30, at the Synagogue, Zenica City Museum. The exhibition runs until May 28. Entrance is free.

The exhibition documents the architectural movement in Japan where local architects were deployed to reconstruct not only public buildings but also various private institutions, taking artistic, creative approach. Initiated by the governor Morihiro HOSOKAWA (1983-1991), the project represented a fusion of the ‘new architecture’ and the regional art and history, serving to create ‘new culture’ and contribute to the development of an attractive region.

Japanese Films  ‘’Always – Sunset on Third Street 3’’, ‘’Robo-G’’ and Anime ‘’Brave Story’’ will be screened during the exhibition duration (May 13 – May 28), including the Night of Museums in Zenica on May 17. Films are shown in Japanese with English subtitles. Entrance is free.
