The festival’s jury consisting of the President Maurizia Settembre, the Italian theater theorist, Ronald Rand, american actor, the director Safet Zec and B&H academic painter, announced this morning, the laureates of 53rd International Theatre Festival MESS.
Grand Prix – “Golden Laurel Wreath Award for the Best Play” goes to ” Galeb ” of Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, directed by Tomi Janežič.
Golden Laurel Wreath Award for the best director goes to Wim Vandekeybus for the play “Pljačka plijena”
Golden Laurel Wreath Award for the best actor goes to Gonzalo Callejas for the role of Hamlet in the play ” Hamlet, of the Andes”, to Ella Becerra, Colombian troops Trilogy La Maldita Vanidad and to Jasna Đuričić “Galeb”.
The Golden Laurel Wreath Award for the best drama text in the selection of the Balkan (Con) Text goes to Doruntina Basha for the text of the play “Finger”.
The ” Jurislav Korenić ” award for the best young director goes to Simone Derai, of Anagoor troops for the direction of “L.I. Lingua Imperii”
The award “Rejhan Demirdžić” for the best young actor goes to the actress Milica Janevski from the play “Galeb” and to Daniel Diaz from the play “Material author” and “How you want me to want u”.
From 28 September to 07 October 2013 in Sarajevo, Mostar, Goražde, Visoko at 13 locations, 25 plays had more than 30 performances with the participation of about 300 guests from 18 countries.
