Today, the GRAS union expressed its condolences to the family of the young man killed in yesterday’s accident, and wished the injured a successful and speedy recovery.
They emphasize that GRAS and its employees have experienced and survived many difficult moments during the company’s existence, but yesterday’s tragedy is one of the most difficult days in the history of GRAS – both for the company and for the employees.
“It is difficult to find adequate words at this moment. None of us certainly wanted this tragedy to happen. What we can say is that we support the work of the institutions and that the reason that caused this tragedy is found. From our experience, we can say that it is not due to the human factor, i.e. we believe that the driver is absolutely not responsible for this tragedy,” the union points out.
Also, they believe that the cause of the accident was a breakdown on the tram that could not have been foreseen.
“Because of all this, we are making ourselves available to the investigative authorities in order to substantiate our position. We sincerely hope that the investigative authorities will look at all the facts and pass a just judgment on this tragedy. We are making ourselves available to the family of the victim as well as the injured and their families for any kind of help,” the GRAS Union said.
