The head of the SDP Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Caucus in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PABiH), Sasa Magazinovic, broke the great news – BiH is finally on its way to membership in Eurotransplant.
“‘The House of Representatives of the PABiH adopted the parliamentary initiative of Sasa Magazinovic, which obliges the Council of Ministers of BiH to send a letter of intent for BiH to join the “Eurotransplant” to the International Foundation for Organ Exchange Eurotransplant.’ – this is what the media reported from the Parliament session on June 22nd, 2022. At that time, I said that the job of those in power is to find a solution for mutual cooperation within BiH and that this is more important than any political differences because it is about human health and human lives,” Magazinovic wrote in his post on Facebook yesterday and added:
“Today, an agreement was reached between the entity ministers and the minister of civil affairs on the implementation of this initiative. They agreed! In short, BiH is finally on its way to membership in Eurotransplant.”
He pointed out that this means that a large number of citizens when we join Eurotransplant, will have a much better chance for treatment and living a normal life.
“This also means the development of transplant medicine in our country. For me, it is a big deal that after more than a decade of doing nothing, this issue has been moved from a deadlock. I am happy that I had the opportunity to contribute to it,” Magazinovic concluded in his post.
