[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Gallery Alumij and Matica hrvatska Mostar, during the manifestation Days MH Mostar – Mostar Spring, are giving one of the most beautiful photographic story of the city on Neretva – story of the bridges, to residents of Mostar.
Citizens of Mostar will be able to enjoy the magnificent photographic story about the bridges of Mostar, the topic before and after, told through the lens of father Ciril Ciro and his son Vladimir Ciro Raic.
The exhibition will be opened on Thursday, the 19th of May, starting at 7 pm and it will be open for visit until the 3rd of June.
Ciril Ciro Raic was born in 1936 in the village Strgonice, in the Municipality of Konjic. He came in Mostar in 1952 and finished his photographic craft in 1955. He got a job as a photographer at the Institute for Protection of Cultural and Natural Monuments in Mostar, where he spent his entire active career. Ciril Ciro Raic received the title of Master of art of photography in 1975, when he was admitted as member of the Association of Applied Artists of BiH and Yugoslavia.
He achieved a total of 67 solo exhibitions and participated in hundreds of group and thematic exhibitions in the country and abroad, and won numerous awards and honors. Crown of his work was photo monograph in 1998. He died in 2011 and his sons Vladimir and Davor continued their father’s work, committed to preserve Ciro’s legacy and further document cultural and historic resources and natural beauty of Herzegovina.
