The great Success of Doctors of UCC Sarajevo

b_150220095At the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of UCC Sarajevo during the last week, a very complex surgery was made, a transplantation of toes to fist.

Microsurgical transplantation of toes to a fist, with devastating hand injures is one of the most complex operations, where it is needed to reconnect bones, tendon, nerves, blood vessels and skin. This operation is very rare in the contemporary surgical centers.

For the success of such complex operation, alarge team of experts was responsible, wiht the interdisciplinary approach. The surgical team was consisted of mr. Dr. Goran Obradoivić, mr. Dr. Adnan Zećo, prim. Mr. Dr.  Alija Aginčić, prim. Dr. Alemko Čvorak and dr. Zuhra Memić, with nurses Alma Lemes, Lejla Hadzic and Indira Ormanovic. Operation that lasted 11 hours was led by the anestheziologist dr. Vukovic and dr. Zaratin, and anesthetics Nermina Brutus, Enisa Rozajac and Belma Musija.

During the operation and postoperatively, the maximum hospital care was provided to the patient, with experienced nurses and technicians, without whom such complex operations are not possible. For the restoring of the head functions, which is the primary goal of the surgery, physical therapies will be necessarily in the further period of recovery, announced from the UCC Sarajevo.
