Yesterday, the police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) carried out an operation codenamed “Stone” (”Kamen”) in the area of Zenica – Doboj Canton (ZDC), Central Bosnia Canton (CBC), Una – Sana Canton (USC), and the city of Banja Luka.
Searches of residential and business premises, as well as movable property, were carried out at eleven locations owned by the suspects, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed crimes of “organized crime”, in connection with the crimes of “unauthorized traffic in narcotic drugs”, “unauthorized traffic in weapons and military equipment and dual-use products”, and “money laundering”.
Four people were arrested and taken to SIPA premises for criminal processing and questioning as suspects.
Operational action “Stone” was carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo (CS), ZDC, USC, CBC, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS).
Through years of work by SIPA police officers on this case, evidence was gathered that the suspects delivered large quantities of narcotic drugs in the period from 2019 until yesterday. namely about 300 kilograms of the narcotic drug speed, more than 100 kilograms of the narcotic drug cannabis, 20 kilograms of mass-increasing mixture for the narcotic drug speed, 42 liters of amphetamine oil, as well as four large bags of the narcotic drug ecstasy (one kilogram each) and 50 pieces of different firearms (automatic rifles and pistols of different brands and calibers).
Deliveries of narcotic drugs and firearms were made both from BiH to the European Union (EU) and from the EU to BiH, the value of which is expressed in multi–million amounts, Klix.ba reports.
