In cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo, the association of students EESTEC and the support of BIT Alijansa, a series of events as part of the Data Science Days were held in the organization of Atlantbh.
This lecture attracted a great number of software engineers, IT enthusiasts, representatives of IT companies, as well as students who are showing increasing interest in this field of science.
The recently held Conference for the development of software industry in BiH, which was held in the building of the Parliament of BiH, emphasized all potentials of the domestic software industry as well as the demand in the world market. It was concluded that the IT industry has the opportunity to become the strongest BH industry and to be the driving force of BH economic development with the education of 25,000 software engineers.
This is one of the main reasons for this kind of project, which is aimed at transferring the knowledge and showing the use of a new and very interesting field in the sector of IT, and it is Data Science or the Science of data.
Belma Ibrahimovic, the assistant at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo and Data Scientist in the company Atlantbh, explained what she does: “Data Science is a relatively new multidisciplinary scientific-technical field, which is transforming the world that we live in with the help of data, statistical tools, machine learning, and programming. The amount of data will further grow in the future, as well as the need for Data Science, and the so-called “era of data” will reveal new possibilities for the use of tools of Data Science on the everyday basis.”
About a hundred people who attended this event had the opportunity to share their experiences and learn everything about the latest methods, tools, and the best practices in the world of Data Science.
