Last year, the municipality of Grude recorded almost twice as many deaths as births, according to data from the Municipality of Grude for 2021 registered in the registers of births, deaths and marriages.

In order to improve the deteriorating demographic picture and prevent further emigration of young families, at the end of the year a decision was made on financial assistance to parents after the birth of a child.

According to the decision made by the Municipal Council of Grude, on the occasion of the birth of the first child, parents are entitled to a one – time allowance of 500 marks, and for the birth of the second allowance in the amount of 1,500 marks). It was then stated that on the occasion of the birth of the third and each subsequent child, the parents are entitled to compensation in the amount of 3,000 marks.
