At today’s session, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, established the Draft Law on the Uniformity of Pensions Earned Under the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and referred it for consideration and adoption by the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under an urgent procedure .

The joint work led by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in cooperation with the representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Association of Retired Members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina “1. March 2018”, and other ministries and bodies of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the necessary measures and actions were taken in a timely manner to implement the Judgment of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With the adoption of the Bill by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, opportunities have been created to eliminate existing inequalities among members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of exercising and using pension rights acquired on the basis of the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Ministry of Defense of BiH expresses its gratitude to the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Mr. Nermin Nikšić, the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Mr. Adnan Delic, as well as other ministers in the Government of the Federation of BiH and other bodies of the Federation of BiH for their active contribution in this process.

We expect that the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will adopt the aforementioned Draft Law and thereby ensure the equalization of the amount of pensions for military insured persons who exercise their rights with the PIO/MIO Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to support all activities of the federal authorities with the aim of final adoption of the Proposal of the Law on the Uniformity of Pensions Earned According to the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
