HDZ Party Leader reveals when they will have the Names of Ministers

At today’s meeting of representatives of the HDZ BiH and representatives of the parties of the Eight it was agreed on the division of ministries in the new FBiH government, where the ministries of finance, justice, transport, health, spatial planning and culture should go to the HDZ BiH.

These are the ministries that the HDZ BiH held in the previous mandate as well.

“As it was done at the state level, today we have prepared everything in order to appoint the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have discussed all topics and we have prepared two agreements that we have signed, which are in line with the agreements and guidelines from before,” said the president of the HDZ BiH Dragan Čović.

At the meeting, it was agreed on who will manage which of the 16 ministries, and the date by which the ministers must be appointed was also determined.

“By March 28, the coalition partners should provide names so that the president of the Federation of BiH, in accordance with the Constitution, will appoint the FBiH Government and send the decision to vice-presidents for confirmation, and so that a session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament can be scheduled to appoint the FBiH Government within the constitutional deadline – April 6,” said Čović.

He added that at least two of the six ministries will be headed by women.

The second agreement that was signed today refers to the program content of the new executive authority in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The second agreement we signed concerns program definitions and certain areas. We have agreed that the relevant ministers, following the program measures, will propose to the Prime Minister so that it becomes a joint work program. We also discussed many other issues, the functioning of the executive and legislative authorities, and opened discussions about many other institutions within the FBiH. It seems to me that we have shown openness to the end. We will turn to all the reform activities that we have agreed on,” said the president of the HDZ BiH.

When it comes to the state level, Čović announced a meeting with the SNSD representatives for next week.

“We will continue to work with Dodik so that the government at the state level functions in the best possible way. We have a lot of plans, and next week there should be a meeting between these two blocks that are here today, with the block led by the SNSD, in order to try to remove some obstacles that stand in our way so that both the Council of Ministers and the Parliament can function even more successfully,” said Čović.

Čović did not want to comment on the decision of the RS authorities to cut off contacts with the American and British embassies.

“Everyone has the right to make decisions for themselves, I think that a clear answer to that question was given by the representatives of the countries to which that decision applies,” concluded Čović, Fena reports.
