Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average monthly net salary paid per employee for July 2026 is nominally higher by 7.9 percent, and in real terms higher by 4.4 percent.
The highest average net salary in July this year was recorded in the following activities: Public administration and defense; mandatory social insurance – 2,419 BAM, Information and communications – 2,385 BAM, and Health and social protection – 2,369 BAM.
The lowest average net salaries were also in the Activity of providing accommodation and preparing and serving food (hotel and catering) – 1,141 BAM, Construction – 1,348 BAM and in Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles – 1,375 BAM, data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics.
The average monthly paid gross salary per employee for July 2026 in the Federation of BiH was 2,750 BAM and is nominally higher by 2.6 percent, and in real terms higher by 2.8 percent compared to the previous month.
Compared to the same month last year, the average gross salary per employee for July 2026 is nominally higher by 8.3 percent, and in real terms higher by 4.7 percent.
In July 2026, the total number of employed persons in the Federation of BiH was 545,626. Compared to the previous month, the number of employed persons decreased by 0.6 percent.
