BiH Minister of Defense Zukan Helez held a meeting with the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Matthew A. Valas, to discuss the current political and security situation in BiH.

As Helez stated, they agreed that the international community in BiH must be more decisive and productive in resolving the crisis in our country.

“OHR, EUFOR, NATO, and the EU Delegation to BiH must take more concrete steps to finally resolve the crisis in our country, caused by the illegal and unconstitutional activities of the RS authorities. I informed Commander Valas about the activities of the BiH Ministry of Defense in relation to the adoption of the Reform Program for 2025,” Helez said.

He added that the obligations of the BiH Ministry of Defense in developing the Reform Program for 2025 will be completed soon and will be sent to the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the next 15 days.

During the meeting, Helez and Valace discussed the recent visit to the Pentagon in the United States. The visit was assessed as productive and will contribute to the further strengthening of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the improvement of overall relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States, the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
