Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde and Swedish Interior Minister Mikael Damberg will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, and they will meet with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic and Security Minister Selmo Cikotic.
Meetings with representatives of civil society organizations as well as with members of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina are also planned.
The visit aims to further strengthen good co-operation between the two countries, discuss the country’s development process, progress on EU reforms and support Sweden’s reform efforts in BiH that will benefit citizens and enable the country to make further progress towards the European Union.
The main focus of the visit will be on reforms and joint efforts to strengthen the rule of law and security in Europe, which is achieved, among other things, through the fight against organized crime.
