catherine-ashtonThe High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union Catherine Ashton said yesterday that the future of B&H lies in the EU.

After the meeting with the EU Council of Foreign Affairs, where the situation in B&H was discussed, she said that political leaders of the country bear the key to responsibility for the progress of the country, said in a statement that was published on the website of the EU Council.

Ashton highlighted support to the work of the Ministers of the European Commission and the Special Representative of the EU in the “Sejdić-Finci” case.

In the press release, it notes that the Council on 21 October expressed serious concern over the fact that the third meeting of high level dialogues on the process of accession in October 2013 did not deliver the expected results, and due to the failure of political leaders of B&H to implement the decision of the European Court for Human Rights in the “Sejdić-Finci” case.
