4Representatives of the Orthodox Church made a defile through Srebrenica today in the morning hours and thus marked the holiday of the patron saint of the Municipality after 16 years. The defile was headed by the priest of the Srebrenica Church Aleksandar Mlađenović.

The defile had two columns and, after the participants passed through the city center, the consecration of the church was performed.

“Last year the celebration of this holiday was also organized by the Serb Orthodox Church, and today all representatives of local authorities and some municipal workers were also present. After the defile, participants headed towards the church, playing gusle and singing songs on their way,” said the source.

The source added that the candidate for the mayor of Srebrenica Municipality, Mladen Grujičić, was most probably among the participants in the defile. According to the results of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Grujičić should replace Ćamil Duraković on the position of the Mayor of Srebrenica.
