The Ambassadors of Turkey and Australia to B&H, H.E. Ahmet Yıldız and H.E. David Stuart, respectively, have sent Sarajevo Times their holiday greetings and their sincerest wishes for the the upcoming New Year to all citizens of B&H.
Turkish Ambassador H.E. Ahmet Yıldız to B&H Citizens:
‘’In addition to the ancient historical and cultural ties that we have with B&H, we are geographically close. Turkey always supports B&H in all areas. Our wish is for B&h to be a country that will achieve Euro-Atlantic integration, that it will be stable and prosperous. I believe that the excellent relations between our countries will be useful not only for our countries, but also for the entire region.
Our policy embraces everyone who defends the territorial integrity and sovereignty of B&H. We attach great importance to the stability and prosperity of your country. All of our institutions and organizations stand with you. We wish for prosperity for thepeople of B&H as much as we do for our own country. B&H has experienced one of the most horrific wars in the modern era. Changes and developments that we can see in this short period are worthy of attention. Your country has great potential in its young, dynamic and educated generation. It is important that the entire nation, with politicians at the head, preserves the spirit of coexistence and honestly believes that a common future can be built. I am convinced 2014 will be a year where much brighter days await B&H. I use this opportunity to send all citizens of B&H sincerest wishes that 2014 will bring them health, peace and happiness”.
Australian Ambassador H.E. David Stuart:
”I would like to convey to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina my best wishes for the New Year.
May you have the courage and faith to overcome all the challenges and seize the opportunities before you in 2014!
I had hoped our two national football teams would play in the same group in the World Cup in Brazil! Now, I can only hope that our teams will play well, and who knows, they might even meet at the later stages of the championships.
With best wishes on behalf of all the staff at the Australian Embassy”.
