Honorary Consulate of BiH in Mumbai opened

consulateHonorary Consulate of BiH was formally opened in Mumbai, a city with 23 million citizens.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the business community and prominent businessmen, representatives of the Government of Maharashtra, and the most important representatives of the media, as stated from the Embassy of BiH in India.

Thus, the Honorary Consulate of BiH in Suhas Mantri for Maharashtra and Goa formally started to perform its function in Mumbai.

Previously, the new honorary consulate office in the city of Pune with five million citizens was opened.

While addressing the audience, Mantri emphasized that he is very happy to become honorary consul and that he is sure that he will contribute to getting the people of BiH and Maharastra happy.

Honorary Consul Mantri already established the Council for business cooperation, the Council for tourism and the Council for cultural co-operation within the consulate and included many important names from the region.

Ambassador of BiH to India Sabit Subasic emphasized that before the Consulate and Honorary Consul are great challenges and opportunities.

“I am convinced that from today BiH has its own institution in the area of Maharashtra and Goa that will satisfy our interests, especially in the sphere of economy”, said Ambassador Subasic.

With the act of opening the Honorary Consulate, an important step in the realization of the project of the Embassy of BiH was made, which has mission to “cover” the region of this sub-continent with honorary consuls.
