Hotel ‘Bristol’, one of the symbols of the city of Sarajevo, joined the Novotel hotel chain, and thus joined the network of the popular, so-called “midscale” class of hotel brands.

By entering the AccorHotels family, hotel Bristol changed its name to Novotel Sarajevo Bristol and officially opened its doors under a new brand, after the Al Shiddy Group, the owner of Bristol, signed a franchise contract for hotel Novotel in May with the Polish Orbis Group, a strategic partner of AccorHotels in Eastern Europe.

General Manager of AccorHotels/Orbis, Frank Reul, said that the official opening of the Novotel Sarajevo Bristol hotel represents a turning point for the AccorHotels Group for Eastern Europe, the OrbisHotels Group, as well as Novotel, an internationally recognized and famous brand of the AccorHotels group.

He added that the arrival of Novotel in BiH is followed by a record number of 40 contracts in the next few months in the region, which further confirms the dynamics of the development strategy of the aforementioned group.

As noted, AccorHotels is the leading travel group and it includes a large number of internationally recognized brands or more than 4,200 hotels in 95 countries all around the world.

Besides the Novotel project, Al Shiddy Group entered into a franchise contract with Swissotel in April, which is a part of AccorHotels, for the development of a new urban hotel with 218 rooms in Sarajevo, which, as previously announced, will be opened in early 2018.
