Hotel Igman for Sale, starting Price 5 Million BAM

igmanAt the session held today, Government of the Sarajevo Canton reached a Decision which tasked the Cantonal Agency for Privatization to undertake all necessary activities on behalf of the KJP ZOI ’84 OCS Ltd. Sarajevo regarding the sale of the hotel Igman with the associated land.

The sale will be conducted by the method of direct negotiation at a starting price of five million BAM, defined in accordance with the Decision by the Supervisory Board of the enterprise ZOI ’84 OSC Ltd. Sarajevo on the sale of the hotel Igman in the procedure of small privatization.

The bidder who offers the highest bid will be announced the winner of the Public call. The received offers under the defined starting price will not be considered or evaluated. The bidders are obliged to give a written statement that the facility will serve hotel-hospitality or sports-recreational purpose.

At today’s session, the Government accepted the Report on the work with financial report of the Cantonal Institute for Provision of Free Legal Aid of the Sarajevo Canton for the last year and forwarded it to the assembly procedure.

In the last year, this institute registered 3.216 new users and trend of the growth of users of the free legal aid continued in this year as well. During the mentioned period, a total of 1.777 cases were in progress. The Court reached 235 decisions on appointment of employees of the Institute as defense attorneys for defense ex officio in criminal and misdemeanor proceedings, thus achieving savings in the Budget of the Sarajevo Canton amounting to 238.000 BAM. In these proceedings, there is a significant percentage of the determination of cases, thus the percentage of determination of criminal cases is 43.33 percent and of misdemeanor cases 81.67 percent.

Also recorded was a significant number of acquittals in the mentioned cases, five in criminal cases and 19 in misdemeanor cases, whereas prison sentences were imposed in only two cases because those were repeated perpetrators of criminal offenses.

Minister of Justice and Administration of the Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić supported and praised the work of this institute and drew attention to the importance of enabling access to free legal aid to all socially endangered categories of veteran population because, unfortunately, numerous unsolved issues among this population are still present. Nenadić suggested the analysis of the possibility for upgrade of legislation in this sense.
