At the 37th session of the Sarajevo City Council, which was chaired by Suljo Agic, the Chairperson of the City Council, the Report on the work of the City Council of the city of Sarajevo in 2015 was considered and unanimously adopted.
City councilors, by majority vote, adopted the budget of Sarajevo for 2016, which amounts to 13.797.240.00 BAM as it was proposed and amended by solutions from accepted or approved amendments. City Council adopted a Decision on the execution of the budget of the City of Sarajevo in 2016.
Moreover, the City Council adopted a decision according to which the ity of Sarajevo will access the network of Mediterranean cities Medcities.
Later they considered and adopted the Report on the implementation of the decision on conditions and procedure of accepting the sponsorship of the City of Sarajevo in 2015 in the field of education, culture and sports, as well as the Report on the implementation of the decision on establishing the sporting events of importance to the city of Sarajevo in 2015.
During the session, city councilors discussed and adopted the Report on the activities of the project “Revitalization of Trebevic cable car”, with the proposal of conclusions for the continuation of the project.
Later were received information on the state of tourism with the proposed measures, as well as information about the problem of stray dogs in the city of Sarajevo.
Finally, councilors addressed certain questions and started an increasing number of initiatives. Thus, among other things, on the proposal of a city councilor Velija Katica, the City Council supported the initiative, or decided that the city of Sarajevo will be a signatory of the Declaration “Candidacy Project of Ars Aevi for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018.”
