How to attract more Students to study in Sarajevo?

Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka met on Wednesday with rectors of universities in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the continuation of the project for the promotion of Sarajevo as a regional and European university center.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University of Sarajevo Rifet Skrijelj, the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo Ahmet Yildirim and the Rector of the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology Vjekoslav Domljan.

Skaka presented the project of promotion of Sarajevo as a university center that would be realized through the joint cooperation between the City of Sarajevo and University at domestic# and international level in the field of education, science, culture and art.

The project will be realized through the organization of joint study programs in English, offering dual diplomas and in co-operation with the higher education institutions.

The planned joint study programs would attract students from the region, Europe and the world to Sarajevo.

The participants showed interest in participation in the project and emphasized that this project will be of great importance for the City of Sarajevo, higher education, but also the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.
