Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, Department for Combating Terrorism, acting on the request of the competent prosecutor’s office, identified a person who in the past period sent messages to schools about planted explosive devices through an e-mail user account, the FUP announced.
Police officers continue further work with the competent prosecutor’s office in order to document the above-mentioned criminal act, according to the statement.
The identity of the person has not been released, as have other details of the case.
In the past period, there have been numerous reports of explosive devices placed in primary and secondary schools, as well as judicial institutions and shopping centers, in the Sarajevo area.
After conducting counter-subversion examinations, it was determined that the reports were false.
