IGC welcomes German president’s Decision to annul the Awarding of Gideon Greif

The Genocide Research Institute of Canada (IGC) welcomed the decision of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to annul the decision to award the Order of Merit to Srebrenica genocide denier Gideon Greif.

On November 1, the IGC director, Emir Ramić, sent a letter to Steinmeier in which he quoted parts from the final report of the so-called Independent International Commission of the entity of RS and referred to all the existing and final verdicts and documents, including international judgments of the courts on Srebrenica genocide, a statement by the Vice President of the World Jewish Congress Menachem Z. Rosensaft sharply criticizing the Greif-led commission and German court rulings that have established genocide in other municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 1992 to 1995, in addition to Srebrenica, the IGC stated.
